Cloudflare Partners with Wiz to Secure AI Attack Surface and Eliminate Shadow AI Risks

Cloudflare

Cloudflare has announced a strategic partnership with Wiz to help enterprises secure their growing AI attack surface and address the rising risks associated with shadow AI. The integration brings together Cloudflare’s AI Security for Apps with Wiz’s Security Graph to provide organizations with a unified view of their AI ecosystem and real-time protection capabilities.

As enterprises accelerate the deployment of AI-powered applications such as chatbots, copilots, and intelligent search tools, security teams are increasingly struggling to keep pace. Many of these AI endpoints are deployed without proper oversight, creating blind spots that expose organizations to risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and unauthorized access to sensitive systems.

The Cloudflare–Wiz integration directly addresses this challenge by enabling organizations to discover, monitor, and secure all AI endpoints across their infrastructure. Wiz’s AI Application Protection Platform maps the entire AI footprint, while Cloudflare enforces security guardrails at the edge, ensuring threats are detected and mitigated in real time without impacting performance.

“Now, we are delivering a solution to allow innovation with AI at speed, without the worry that their most sensitive data will be exposed.” – Tom Evans

A key advantage of the joint solution lies in its ability to provide contextual risk prioritization. By embedding Cloudflare’s security rules into the Wiz Security Graph, enterprises can identify which vulnerabilities pose the greatest risk based on exploitability and data exposure. This allows security teams to focus remediation efforts where they matter most.

“By combining Wiz’s end-to-end visibility with Cloudflare’s edge protections, we close a critical gap in how AI risk is managed,” said Oron Noah. “This partnership gives organizations a unified view of AI application endpoints and shared risk context, helping them stop threats like prompt injection and shadow AI before they start.”

The solution operates seamlessly without requiring additional agents or architectural changes, leveraging Cloudflare’s global network to inspect AI traffic inline. This ensures enterprises can scale AI adoption securely while maintaining performance and governance.

With AI rapidly expanding the enterprise attack surface, the partnership positions Cloudflare and Wiz at the forefront of securing next-generation digital environments enabling innovation without compromising security.
