Kaspersky, Codebase Technologies Partner to Secure Digital Banking Ecosystems

Kaspersky

MoU focuses on integrating advanced cybersecurity into digital banking and fintech platforms across the Middle East

Kaspersky has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Codebase Technologies, a UAE-based provider of digital banking platforms and fintech solutions, to strengthen cybersecurity across digital banking and fintech environments in the Middle East. The collaboration aims to explore opportunities for delivering integrated digital banking solutions enhanced with advanced cybersecurity capabilities for banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, and other regulated entities.

The partnership brings together Codebase Technologies’ Digibanc™ digital banking platform, its implementation expertise, and strong regional market presence with Kaspersky’s cybersecurity technologies and threat intelligence. By aligning their capabilities, the two companies intend to enhance the security, resilience, and regulatory readiness of digital financial services operating in increasingly complex threat environments.

“Cybersecurity must be embedded into digital banking platforms from the outset to protect operations and customer trust,” — Rashed Al-Momani, General Manager, Kaspersky Middle East

As financial institutions accelerate digital transformation, cybersecurity risks related to fraud, data protection, system availability, and customer operations continue to grow. The collaboration seeks to help organizations address these challenges by embedding security controls into digital banking architectures, rather than treating cybersecurity as an afterthought. The focus areas include protection of critical systems, safeguarding sensitive financial data, fraud prevention, and strengthening operational resilience.

According to Rashed Al-Momani, General Manager at Kaspersky Middle East, financial institutions today operate in a threat landscape where cyber risks evolve rapidly alongside digital innovation. He noted that the collaboration with Codebase Technologies aims to explore how Kaspersky’s cybersecurity expertise can complement advanced digital banking platforms like Digibanc™ to better protect both institutions and their customers.

Tamer Al Mauge, Managing Director – MENA at Codebase Technologies, said cybersecurity is a foundational pillar of modern digital banking and fintech services. He added that working with Kaspersky will allow the company to assess opportunities to enhance Digibanc™ with advanced security capabilities that address regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational requirements across key markets.

The MoU establishes a framework for ongoing collaboration, enabling both organizations to jointly assess market needs, develop integrated approaches, and support financial institutions as they navigate evolving cyber threats. By combining cybersecurity expertise with cloud-native, API-first digital banking platforms, the partnership aims to help banks and fintechs deliver secure, scalable, and trusted digital financial services across the region.
