In a strategic move that underscores Saudi Arabia’s rise as a regional digital powerhouse, Riverbed has launched its locally hosted Aternity® Cloud in the Kingdom—making it the first technology provider in Saudi Arabia to offer a SaaS-based observability platform with integrated AI capabilities, fully compliant with local data residency and sovereignty mandates. The company also confirmed the establishment of its Middle East and North Africa Regional Headquarters in Riyadh, further cementing its commitment to supporting Vision 2030 and the nation’s accelerating digital transformation.
The dual announcement reflects Riverbed’s long-term investment in the Kingdom’s thriving technology ecosystem. The presence of CEO Dave Donatelli in Riyadh to inaugurate the cloud rollout at Riverbed’s EMPOWEREDx conference reinforced the importance of the launch. Under his leadership, Riverbed has been on a record pace of innovation, earning recognition as the “Best AI Platform in 2025” and setting new standards in AIOps and observability.
“Saudi Arabia is poised to become the observability and AI innovation hub of the Middle East—and Riverbed is proud to lead that journey.”

“Riverbed has been a trusted partner to Saudi Arabia’s public and private sectors for decades,” noted Elie Dib, Senior Vice President EMEA, Riverbed. “With the Aternity Cloud hosted in-country, enterprises can now harness the full power of AI-driven observability while maintaining strict compliance with national data policies.”
The Aternity Cloud brings full-spectrum digital experience observability to Saudi enterprises, capturing telemetry from millions of devices, business applications, and cloud-native services to deliver real-time visibility into employee and customer experiences. Globally, it processes over 250 billion activities daily and manages more than four million endpoints—credentials that reaffirm Riverbed’s leadership in the DEX and AIOps space.
Saudi organizations are rapidly accelerating investments in AI-driven IT operations, with nearly 160% growth in AI spending, according to Riverbed’s latest research. “With this launch, we’re making it simpler and more secure than ever for customers in Saudi Arabia to consolidate tools, optimize operations, and harness AI that delivers measurable value,” added Charbel Khneisser, Senior Vice President, Global Solutions Engineering, Riverbed.
The Riverbed Aternity Cloud for Saudi Arabia is expected to be generally available in Q1 2026, opening a new chapter in the Kingdom’s AI-powered digital evolution.
