Logitech Spot Named TIME Best Invention of 2025

Peel-and-stick sensor transforms workplace efficiency by making the invisible visible.

Logitech has announced that Logitech Spot, its radar-based workplace occupancy and environmental sensor, has been recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025 in the Productivity category. The accolade places Spot among groundbreaking innovations shaping the future of work.

Designed to tackle unseen barriers to employee productivity and office health, Logitech Spot acts like a fitness tracker for the workplace. The compact, peel-and-stick device measures room occupancy, air quality, and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity—without wiring or user interaction. By turning hidden inefficiencies into actionable insights, Spot empowers companies to optimize space usage, improve employee comfort, and reduce energy costs.

“Most office problems are data problems in disguise.”

— Henry Levak, VP of Product, Logitech for Business

“Every office has its secrets—how many people are using which rooms, what’s in the air, and where energy is wasted,” said Henry Levak. “Logitech Spot makes the invisible visible, giving businesses the data they need to make smarter decisions.”

Spot’s radar-based technology automatically books and releases rooms based on real-time occupancy, addressing costly issues like empty reserved spaces and overcrowded zones. It also feeds environmental data into the Logitech Sync management portal, enabling IT and facilities teams to monitor Health and Energy Scores across workspaces. For example, elevated carbon dioxide levels can lead to sluggishness and poor concentration—Spot identifies these conditions and recommends improvements.

This marks Logitech’s first entry into environmental sensing, complementing its existing portfolio of space management solutions, including automated room booking and desk reservation systems. By combining simplicity with intelligence, Logitech Spot sets a new standard for workplace optimization.
