Vertiv CoolCenter Immersion delivers 25–240kW scalable, energy-efficient cooling for high-density compute environments
Vertiv has announced the launch of its Vertiv CoolCenter Immersion cooling system in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. The latest addition to Vertiv’s liquid cooling portfolio is engineered to meet the escalating thermal demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) environments, where traditional air-cooling methods can no longer keep pace.
“Immersion cooling is redefining thermal management for AI and HPC workloads, enabling data centers to scale without compromise.”
— Sam Bainborough, VP, Thermal Business, Vertiv EMEA
The Vertiv CoolCenter Immersion system submerges entire servers in a dielectric liquid, ensuring uniform heat removal across all components. Designed for workloads ranging from 25 kW to 240 kW per system, it provides a complete, scalable, and energy-efficient cooling architecture for dense compute applications.
“Immersion cooling is playing an increasingly important role as AI and HPC deployments push thermal limits far beyond what conventional systems can handle,” said Sam Bainborough, EMEA Vice President of Thermal Business at Vertiv. “With the Vertiv CoolCenter Immersion, we’re applying decades of liquid-cooling expertise to deliver fully engineered systems that handle extreme heat densities safely and efficiently, giving operators a practical path to scale AI infrastructure without compromising reliability or serviceability.”
Available in self-contained and multi-tank configurations, the system integrates variable-speed pumps, coolant distribution units (CDUs), temperature sensors, and BMS connectivity for real-time monitoring and precise control. Its redundant design ensures uptime, while its heat reuse capabilities support sustainability goals and improve overall energy efficiency.
The launch reinforces Vertiv’s strategic commitment to supporting AI-driven digital transformation with advanced thermal management solutions. Through its Vertiv™ Liquid Cooling Services, the company provides end-to-end lifecycle support—from design and deployment to maintenance and optimization—across immersion, direct-to-chip, and rear-door heat exchanger technologies.
With Vertiv CoolCenter Immersion, data centers and research facilities can now adopt a sustainable, scalable, and serviceable approach to managing high-density AI and HPC workloads, ensuring performance without environmental compromise.
