IFS Partners with Climatiq to Launch Emissions Management in IFS Cloud

New solution transforms operational data into actionable carbon insights, supporting businesses in meeting evolving sustainability regulations

IFS, a global leader in enterprise cloud and Industrial AI software, has announced a strategic partnership with carbon intelligence platform Climatiq to launch a new Emissions Management module in IFS Cloud. The move aims to help businesses embed sustainability into core operations, automating carbon calculations and enabling informed, climate-conscious decision-making.

The partnership combines IFS’s industrial AI capabilities with Climatiq’s scientifically vetted carbon emissions database, allowing asset-intensive industries to track and reduce their carbon footprint without compromising operational efficiency. Using existing asset hierarchies in IFS Cloud, the new module can quickly map emissions sources, apply pre-built templates, and standardize methodologies for consistent, scalable reporting.

Coinciding with the launch, IFS and Climatiq have released a joint white paper, IFS Cloud: Carbon Emissions Scope 3 Overview and Statement of Direction, which outlines how embedded sustainability can transform raw business activity data into actionable insights. The paper also explores how organizations can streamline compliance with global frameworks such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

“Sustainability regulations are evolving rapidly, and our customers need solutions that allow them to adapt while gaining actionable insights,” said Caitlin Keam, VP of Sustainability Applications at IFS. “By integrating Climatiq’s verified emissions factors into IFS Cloud, we empower businesses to make better decisions within their core systems and keep pace with changing obligations.”

Hessam Lavi, CEO and co-founder of Climatiq, added: “This partnership brings climate intelligence into the heart of enterprise workflows. By embedding emissions data directly into daily operations, we are helping customers accelerate the green transition through practical, data-driven tools.”

The launch follows IFS’s recent investment from Generation Investment Management, a leading sustainable investment firm co-founded by former US Vice President Al Gore, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to sustainability innovation.

IFS’s Emissions Management is designed to benefit sectors such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, and transportation industries with complex supply chains and significant Scope 3 emissions exposure. The integration offers a path to better compliance, clearer environmental impact measurement, and stronger ESG performance, all from within a single cloud platform.

With sustainability now a central driver of operational strategy, the IFS–Climatiq collaboration represents a significant step toward enabling organizations to treat carbon intelligence as both a regulatory necessity and a source of competitive advantage.
