MoU signed at Seamless Middle East 2025 to deploy full-stack AI retail tech across UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and KSA
Yango Tech has announced a strategic partnership with Grand Hypermarkets, a prominent international retail chain, to roll out its full e-grocery automation stack across the GCC. Signed at Seamless Middle East 2025, the agreement will see Grand Hypermarkets adopt Yango Tech Retail’s AI-powered solutions to boost operational efficiency, transform customer journeys, and strengthen last-mile logistics.
With over 95 outlets across the region, Grand Hypermarkets will integrate a tailored client app, store order management system, and advanced delivery platform developed by Yango Tech Retail. The collaboration will initially focus on the UAE and Kuwait, enhancing the group’s vision to create a world-class, multi-format shopping experience and rank among the top five retailers in the region by 2030.
“This partnership marks a turning point in how we approach customer convenience and operational agility.” — Rashid Aslam Bin Mohideen, Executive Director, Grand Hypermarkets
“As the MENA retail market heads toward a projected value of $1.4 trillion by 2032, it is clear that technology will be central to the sector’s evolution,” said Max Avtukhov, Chief Executive of Yango Tech Retail. “Our collaboration with Grand Hypermarkets is a prime example of how we are tailoring global technologies to fit local community needs and enhancing everyday life through intelligent, scalable innovation.”
Yango Tech is also showcasing a suite of advanced B2B solutions at Seamless Middle East 2025. At the centre is AInventory, its AI-powered shelf-monitoring camera system, which enhances planogram compliance and inventory visibility. Retailers can also experience Yango Tech Retail’s white-label customer app, featuring smart search, personalized suggestions, dynamic pricing, and automated marketing tools.
Yango Tech Robotics has unveiled its Picker Robot — a next-gen warehouse automation system using imitation learning for up to 95% picking accuracy across a vast product range. Meanwhile, Yango Tech Autonomy is presenting autonomous delivery robots now operational in Dubai’s Sobha Hartland and piloting at Expo City Dubai in partnership with food tech firm ROOTS.
This multi-layered collaboration reinforces Yango Tech’s commitment to accelerating retail digitalization across the region and supporting the GCC’s broader AI-powered economic ambitions.
