New Identity Server and Asgardeo releases redefine agentic IAM, streamline developer workflows, and extend B2B CIAM leadership

Dubai, UAE – October 2025 – In a bold move to future-proof digital identity infrastructure, WSO2 has unveiled major upgrades to its identity and access management (IAM) product family—WSO2 Identity Server and Asgardeo IDaaS—introducing agentic IAM capabilities that treat AI agents as first-class citizens in enterprise security. The new releases also deepen WSO2’s dominance in B2B customer IAM (CIAM), offering granular access controls, advanced organizational hierarchies, and selective role sharing for complex business ecosystems.

At the heart of the update is support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling secure deployment and governance of AI agents accessing corporate resources. Developers can now register agents, assign roles, issue credentials, and audit agent activity independently—ushering in a new era of secure, intelligent automation.

WSO2’s AI-driven enhancements also simplify developer workflows. From natural language orchestration to no-code drag-and-drop builders, the platform empowers developers to create secure login flows, self-registration paths, and multi-factor authentication setups directly within their code editors using tools like GitHub Copilot.

“We’re empowering developers to deliver secure AI-driven experiences across B2B and consumer landscapes.”

— Geethika Cooray, VP & GM, IAM at WSO2

On the B2B front, WSO2 expands its CIAM toolkit with streamlined login inheritance for sub-organizations and flexible role-sharing across applications. Enterprises can now tailor access based on pricing tiers or service levels, ensuring partners and subsidiaries receive precisely what they need.

Security remains paramount. The latest versions introduce real-time identity event publishing, advanced account linking, post-quantum encryption, and expanded support for European digital identity solutions including Signicat, FranceConnect, and Swiss ID.

With over 1 billion identities managed globally, WSO2 continues to set the pace in IAM innovation—bridging the gap between AI, developer productivity, and enterprise-grade security. The new capabilities are available now in WSO2 Identity Server 7.2 and the latest Asgardeo release.
