After two years of pandemic, GITEX 2020 is expected to be a very big one from footfall point of view. Every vendor is ready for the opportunity. We spoke to Nirmal Kumar Manoharan, Regional Director, ManageEngine about their preparedness.

ManageEngine highly values GITEX. We hope this year’s event offers us even more opportunities to interact with customers, prospects, and partners to help address their needs.

What will be your theme of participation at GITEX? And what can customers expect from ManageEngine this year?

The modern-day IT landscape, where the philosophy of “digital-first customers and remote-first employees” is deeply sowed, brings a plethora of challenges for IT administrators and C-suite executives alike. ManageEngine will be positioning itself as a comprehensive IT management solution provider for organizations and enterprises across all sectors looking to overcome their IT-related challenges.

We will be showcasing our entire suite of IT management and security solutions for the GCC market, a portfolio of over 60 paid products covering aspects like IT service management, operations management, Active Directory management, endpoint management, analytics, and more.

What makes GITEX 2022 special for ManageEngine this year?

This year marks the 20th anniversary of ManageEngine. We are one of the main sponsors at the event and will be taking up a much bigger booth space than before. So our presence at GITEX, which is one of the world’s premier technology events, will be bigger than ever before. All our top management will be travelling to Dubai, as we consider it as a great opportunity to network and share knowledge among stakeholders.

Rajesh Ganesan will participate in a panel discussion on Combating Cyberwarfare: A Clear and Present Danger, scheduled between 12:35 and 1:15pm in Hall 1 on October 11, during which he will discuss the top five cyber warfare and cybersecurity threats to watch out for. In addition, Shailesh Davey, co-founder and vice president of engineering at Zoho Corporation, will share his insights on AI-enabled IT Management between 2 and 2:20pm at the Sheikh Rashid Hall on October 13.

What are your expectations from the event this year?

Each year, this event has played a big role in establishing our presence in the region and building contact with potential customers and partners, many of whom we share a close relationship with still today.

ManageEngine has been doing business in the Middle East since 2005 and has been a part of GITEX since 2007. The Middle East is one of the main markets for the company worldwide. Considering the event has proven to be a great platform to connect with a wider audience in the region, ManageEngine highly values GITEX. We hope this year’s event offers us even more opportunities to interact with customers, prospects, and partners to help address their needs.

What do you have to say about the ‘next digital universe’? and how does ManageEngine plan to support organizations in this journey?

The way technology is constantly evolving, I see the next digital universe as one in which artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, big data, and cloud computing all play a bigger role than they do now. We are only at the tip of the iceberg when it comes to utilising the above-mentioned technologies.

In such an environment, I see IT-management-related challenges also growing exponentially. Cybersecurity especially will become a significant concern as threats loom large. As organisations prepare for the road ahead, ManageEngine will lead the way with new solutions, contextual integrations, and other advances in technology. We’ll continue pushing for the tight business-IT alignment customers need to seize opportunities in the future.
