On Earth Day, Veeam highlights major milestones in e-waste reduction, employee volunteerism, and governance excellence.
Veeam Software unveiled its inaugural Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report on the 55th anniversary of Earth Day, demonstrating the company’s growing commitment to sustainable operations, community engagement, and corporate governance.
Announced at VeeamON 2025, the ESG report details impactful initiatives including the prevention of 3,402 pounds of e-waste, contribution of 2,793 volunteer hours, and progress in reducing carbon emissions across global operations.

Key highlights from the Veeam ESG Report include:
- Environmental Leadership:
Veeam recycled 1,203 laptops across the globe, eight of its offices achieved LEED certification, and it successfully measured and reduced Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. The company plans to assess Scope 3 emissions by 2026. - Social Responsibility:
Through programs like Veeam Cares and the Veeam It Forward Marathon, employees collectively volunteered thousands of hours supporting causes such as disaster relief, animal shelters, and dementia care. Initiatives like EmpowerHer trained 150 women in technical certifications, enhancing diversity and inclusion. - Governance Excellence:
Veeam strengthened its cybersecurity posture with a 100% completion rate in mandatory training, launched a Generative AI Policy, and secured critical certifications including ISO 27701, ISO 27017, and HIPAA attestation.
Veeam’s ESG efforts align with international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)—setting a new benchmark for transparency and accountability in the data resilience sector.
Looking ahead, Veeam pledges continuous improvement in ESG performance, with clear goals to expand its environmental tracking, deepen social impact programs, and reinforce ethical leadership across all operations.
