Veeam Completes $1.7B Acquisition of Securiti AI to Launch Industry’s First Trusted Data Platform for AI

The unified platform combines data resilience, security, privacy, and governance to accelerate safe AI adoption at enterprise scale.

Veeam Software, the global leader in data resilience, has finalized its $1.725 billion acquisition of Securiti AI, creating what it calls the industry’s first Trusted Data Platform—a unified system to see, secure, govern, and recover all enterprise data at AI speed.

The move addresses a critical challenge: while AI investment is surging, nearly 90% of enterprise initiatives fail because the underlying data cannot be trusted. “Safe AI at scale requires more than great models—it demands trusted, governed, recoverable data,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. “By combining Veeam’s leadership in data resilience with Securiti AI’s expertise in DSPM, privacy, governance, and AI trust, we’re delivering a platform that can secure everything and recover anything across the entire data estate.”

The integration comes at a time when AI adoption has turned dormant unstructured data—90% of enterprise data—into both a strategic asset and a high-risk surface. Fragmented security and governance tools can’t keep pace with machine-speed data access and AI agent behavior.

What the Unified Platform Delivers:

  • Real-time visibility across structured and unstructured data
  • Continuous governance and compliance with identity-aware enforcement
  • Zero-trust security and resilience across production and backups
  • Clean recovery of data, pipelines, models, and AI agents
  • Trusted data pipelines to accelerate AI adoption safely

Veeam will onboard 600 Securiti AI employees, expanding its global AI security and compliance expertise. Rehan Jalil, Securiti AI’s founder and CEO, joins Veeam as President of Security and AI.

“Together, we will empower customers with a unified command center to understand, secure, recover, and unlock the full potential of their entire data estate,” Jalil said. “This is about enabling safe AI at scale—giving organizations the confidence to innovate fearlessly.”
