Cerra’s experience across HPE, McAfee, Intel, and Alcatel-Lucent brings a human-centered approach to technology marketing as Veeam strengthens its global leadership in data resilience.
Veeam Software, the #1 global leader in data resilience, has announced the appointment of Allison Cerra as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Reporting directly to CEO Anand Eswaran, Cerra takes the reins of Veeam’s global marketing operations at a pivotal moment as the company continues to redefine how enterprises protect, recover, and mobilize data in the age of AI.
Cerra joins Veeam from Alkami Technology, where she served as CMO since 2021, leading the digital banking innovator’s transformation and brand acceleration. Her rich career spans leadership roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), McAfee, Intel, and Alcatel-Lucent, giving her a uniquely broad perspective across enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and cloud innovation.
“In a world where AI is reshaping what’s possible, data resilience isn’t just protection – it’s permission to innovate.”

“Allison understands the intersection of technology and trust,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. “She’s built brands that connect deeply with customers and led teams that turn marketing into a growth engine. As Veeam enters its next phase of innovation—helping every organization trust its data to safely power AI—her leadership will be instrumental in amplifying that mission globally.”
As CMO, Cerra will oversee brand strategy, product marketing, communications, demand generation, events, and digital engagement. Her immediate focus will be to strengthen Veeam’s positioning as the trusted partner for AI-ready data resilience, ensuring enterprises can recover fast, adapt faster, and turn resilience into competitive advantage.
She succeeds Rick Jackson, who is retiring after a distinguished 40-year career, including three and a half years as Veeam’s CMO. “Rick elevated Veeam’s brand and modernized how we show up for customers and partners,” Eswaran noted. “We’re deeply grateful for his leadership and wish him the very best in his well-earned retirement.”
An award-winning marketer, author, and futurist, Cerra is known for blending creativity with analytical rigor—translating complex technologies into compelling human stories. At HPE, she led a digital-first marketing transformation during the pandemic, modernizing how the company engaged customers worldwide. At McAfee, she redefined the brand’s post-Intel identity, reconnecting it with its cybersecurity roots and global customer base.
“In a world where AI is reshaping what’s possible, data resilience isn’t just protection—it’s permission to innovate,” said Allison Cerra. “Veeam empowers organizations to trust their data completely, so they can move faster and with confidence. I’m thrilled to join the company that’s defining what resilience means in the age of AI.”
Cerra’s appointment comes as Veeam prepares for the VeeamON Global Launch Virtual Event on November 19, 2025, where it will unveil Veeam Data Platform v13 and the new Veeam Recon Scanner—tools designed to strengthen enterprises’ defenses against data loss and cyber threats. The live event will feature Veeam leadership, expert discussions, and customer showcases, reinforcing the company’s role as a catalyst for digital trust and resilience.
