VAST Data Launches SyncEngine to Transform Fragmented Enterprise Data into AI-Ready Intelligence

VAST Data SyncEngine AI-ready enterprise data transformation

New capability eliminates “last mile” data challenges, simplifying AI adoption and accelerating intelligent outcomes

VAST Data, the AI Operating System company, has unveiled SyncEngine, a new capability of the VAST AI OS that acts as a universal data router, enabling enterprises to transform disconnected and siloed data into actionable AI-ready intelligence. Offered at no additional cost to VAST customers, SyncEngine unifies data cataloging, migration, and transformation to eliminate the friction of mobilizing distributed unstructured datasets and SaaS applications.

“The future of AI belongs to those who can harness all of their data, not just what’s conveniently available. SyncEngine ends the problematic era of data sprawl,” said Jeff Denworth, Co-Founder of VAST Data

As AI adoption accelerates, data fragmentation has emerged as a critical bottleneck. Legacy file systems, siloed SaaS apps, and disparate data repositories create the “last mile” problem where valuable information remains out of reach of AI pipelines. SyncEngine directly addresses this by enabling real-time data discovery, synchronization, and preparation across traditional storage systems and enterprise apps like Confluence, SharePoint, Google Drive, and Salesforce.

Key capabilities include record-breaking data migration speedsenterprise-scale metadata indexing, and unlimited ingest throughput with massively parallel I/O scaling. SyncEngine also integrates with VAST’s InsightEngine and DataEngine, preparing raw content for advanced AI use cases such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic AI workloads.

By consolidating capabilities that previously required multiple standalone tools, SyncEngine reduces complexity, operational costs, and time-to-insight. “We’re giving customers a direct path from where their data lives today to where AI transformation begins, inside the VAST AI Operating System,” added Denworth.

Now available to all VAST customers, SyncEngine strengthens VAST’s mission to unify enterprise data estates and power next-generation AI at scale.
