Indigenously designed TJ1400 routers to power India’s rural broadband backbone across nine states and five union territories.

Tejas Networks has emerged as the leading supplier of IP routing products for BharatNet Phase III, winning equipment contracts for seven of the twelve packages announced so far. This milestone positions Tejas as the largest contributor by package count in the government’s flagship program to bridge India’s digital divide.

BharatNet Phase III aims to create a robust, scalable middle-mile network using IP-MPLS technology, ensuring high-quality broadband reaches every rural citizen. As part of this nationwide rollout, Tejas will deploy over 50,000 TJ1400 routers across 57,000 Gram Panchayats and 2,000 Blocks, spanning nine states—Bihar, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur—and five union territories.

Backed by the Tata Group, Tejas continues to play a pivotal role in India’s telecom revolution, reinforcing its position as a key enabler of rural broadband and inclusive growth.
