Submer Expands Regional Presence to Drive Scalable, Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Across the Middle East and Africa

Regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia marks a major milestone in Submer’s mission to power AI-ready, liquid-cooled datacenters for the future

Global sustainable datacenter innovator Submer has strengthened its presence across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey with the establishment of its regional subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, signalling a strong commitment to regional growth, digital transformation, and sustainable technology leadership.

The expansion will be led by Khalid Aljamed, who takes charge as General Manager, overseeing strategic growth, local partnerships, and operational execution across MEA. The move aligns with national initiatives such as Saudi Vision 2030 and the UAE’s Vision 2031, reflecting Submer’s focus on supporting sustainable digital ecosystems that empower AI-driven economies.

With regional datacenter capacity expected to triple from 1GW in 2025 to 3.3GW by 2030, the demand for sustainable, AI-ready infrastructure is soaring. Submer aims to serve hyperscalers, telecom operators, and government digital programs by offering efficient, scalable, and environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions.

“The MEA region is moving with extraordinary speed to build AI-ready and sustainable digital ecosystems,” added Aljamed. “Our goal is to collaborate with regional leaders to build infrastructure that is not only smarter but also more resilient and locally driven.”

Through its regional operations, Submer plans to establish lighthouse projects demonstrating measurable gains in sustainability and total cost efficiency—positioning Submer MEA as a hub for R&D, integration, and customer experience.
