Sophos Showcases AI-Powered Cybersecurity and MDR at GITEX Global 2025

Sophos GITEX Global 2025

Focus on adaptive defenses, threat response, and new integrations to secure digital transformation in the Middle East

Sophos announced its participation at GITEX Global 2025 (October 13–17, Dubai World Trade Centre), where it will showcase its AI-driven innovations, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Active Threat Response, and the new Sophos Endpoint—now integrated into all Taegis™ XDR and MDR subscriptions.

“Our participation at GITEX 2025 reinforces our end-to-end cybersecurity strategy—Identify, Prevent, Detect, and Respond.” — Harish Chib, VP Emerging Markets, MEA, Sophos

With cyberattacks in the Middle East growing more complex—ransomware, automated phishing, deepfake fraud, and AI-augmented malware—Sophos aims to demonstrate how AI and managed services are transforming defense strategies. According to the Sophos State of Ransomware report, 43% of UAE organizations hit by ransomware end up paying, with average recovery costs of $1.41 million.

“AI adoption is accelerating cyberattacks, but also enabling smarter, faster defenses.” — John Shier, Field CISO, Sophos

“As AI adoption accelerates, businesses are implementing a security-first mindset to tackle the growing complexity of digital transformation,” said Harish Chib, VP Emerging Markets, MEA, Sophos. “GITEX is our chance to showcase how our solutions and regional investments—including a new local data center and expanded partnerships—empower organizations with round-the-clock, adaptive cyber defenses.”

Field CISO John Shier will attend GITEX to meet with customers and partners, highlighting the future of AI-powered security. Following its February 2025 acquisition of Secureworks, Sophos has enabled Taegis XDR customers to leverage Sophos Endpoint, boosting protection and ROI.

At GITEX, Sophos will offer live demos across its endpoint, network, and MDR ecosystem at Hall 23, Booth 50, as well as partner stands at Starlink and Logicom.
