At GISEC Global 2025, SentinelOne showcased its latest innovations in cybersecurity, from Agentic AI to platform consolidation. In this exclusive conversation with Sanjay Mohapatra, Editor, Enterprise IT World MEA, Ezzeldin Hussein, Regional Senior Director, Solution Engineering – META, SentinelOne talks about how the company is supporting enterprises across the Middle East with smarter, scalable, and resilient security solutions.

How important is GISEC Global as a platform for SentinelOne?

GISEC is a strategic platform for us—it’s where we engage with customers, partners, and thought leaders to shape the future of cybersecurity. This year has started strong; we’ve had meaningful discussions with stakeholders since the morning. It gives us an opportunity to demonstrate how we’re helping organizations in the Middle East defend against today’s complex and evolving cyber threats.

The threat landscape has changed drastically. What’s your view on how cyber threats have evolved, especially in the context of recent geopolitical and economic shifts?

The traditional approach—installing antivirus on a PC—no longer works. The attack surface has exploded: now it includes mobile devices, cloud infrastructure, identities, and more. This has created a nightmare for security teams. At SentinelOne, we began with AI-driven endpoint protection using supervised and unsupervised machine learning. Then came Generative AI, which made it easier for SOC teams to interact with platforms using natural language. This year, we’ve gone a step further by introducing Agentic AI—the first of its kind in cybersecurity—at RSA. It allows AI to autonomously act like a seasoned analyst, proactively defending against threats in real time.

“In a world where threats evolve faster than ever, our mission at SentinelOne is clear—empower organizations with AI-driven cybersecurity that thinks, responds, and recovers at machine speed. Cyber resilience is no longer optional; it’s a business imperative.”

Cyber resilience has become a key priority for business leaders. How is SentinelOne enabling this shift?

Cyber resilience is now front and center, especially for CISOs and the C-suite. They want security solutions that are cost-efficient, operationally effective, and resilient. Our unified platform protects endpoints, cloud workloads, identities, and more using a single lightweight agent. This eliminates the need for multiple tools consuming resources and simplifies management. Even if a breach occurs, our system stops lateral movement instantly and highlights suspicious activity with machine-speed response. It doesn’t just alert—it thinks and acts like a human analyst.

Application security is often overlooked during development. How is SentinelOne helping address this?

That’s a great point. Traditionally, developers focused on functionality and performance. Security was an afterthought. Now, with our platform, security becomes part of the development lifecycle. Teams can identify vulnerabilities, hardcoded credentials, and exploitable code during development—before deployment. This reduces risk and helps organizations release secure applications faster.

Many enterprises today are grappling with vendor overload. How do you see platformization playing a role here?

When I ask CISOs how many vendors they work with, the answer often ranges between 50 and 120. That’s overwhelming. The future lies in consolidation. While no single vendor can offer everything yet, we at SentinelOne are getting closer. Our platform provides endpoint, cloud, identity, vulnerability, and behavioral analytics—all through the same agent. This not only simplifies operations but enhances visibility and response time.

With stricter data privacy and compliance requirements, how is SentinelOne supporting organizations in regulatory alignment?

Compliance is no longer optional—it’s mandatory. Whether it’s PCI-DSS for banking or HIPAA for healthcare, organizations need tools that align with these regulations. Our platform simplifies compliance by offering easy-to-generate reports and dashboards tailored to specific mandates. Features like complex password policies and multi-factor authentication are built in, ensuring that compliance becomes a byproduct of good security practice.

What are you showcasing this year at GISEC that’s new or unique?

One highlight is our “Man vs Machine” challenge, where an audience member—often without deep cybersecurity knowledge—uses our Purple AI to compete against a SentinelOne expert using traditional tools. Almost every time, the AI-backed user outperforms. This demonstrates the power of AI in democratizing security operations. We’ve now enhanced Purple AI with iterative thinking capabilities—it mimics how a seasoned analyst would gather, correlate, and reason with data, making our alerts more accurate and actionable than ever before.

Finally, what’s your message to CIOs and CISOs in the Middle East?

Cybersecurity today is about resilience, speed, and intelligence. CIOs and CISOs must rethink their approach—reduce tool sprawl, adopt AI-driven solutions, and integrate security across the enterprise. At SentinelOne, we are committed to helping them stay ahead of attackers with a platform that’s smart, scalable, and resilient by design.
