In the heart of Riyadh, a new chapter in Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation is unfolding. At LEAP 2025Microsoft Arabia and the National IT Academy (NITA) launched the region’s first Microsoft Datacenter Academy (DCA), a milestone in the Kingdom’s journey toward becoming a global technology powerhouse.

The two-year program is set to train and certify Saudi students in datacenter operations, AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, equipping them with the skills to lead the next wave of digital innovation.

As Microsoft continues to expand its Saudi datacenter region, with Azure Availability Zones launching in 2026, the Academy will play a crucial role in developing local expertise and driving economic growth.

“This initiative is more than just education—it’s about shaping the future of Saudi Arabia’s workforce and ensuring the Kingdom remains at the forefront of global tech advancements,” said Nora Al-Shaikh, Executive Director, NITA.

With this launch, Saudi Arabia is not just adopting technology—it’s creating it, setting the stage for a new era of digital leadership in the Middle East.
