New Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) promise up to 4x faster breakthroughs in biopharma, materials science, and cybersecurity
SandboxAQ has announced a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA to harness the power of NVIDIA DGX Cloud for accelerating innovation across industries including biopharma, chemicals, materials, finance, cybersecurity, and healthcare.
As a member of the NVIDIA Inception program, SandboxAQ is using DGX Cloud to power its pioneering Large Quantitative Models (LQMs)—a new class of AI designed to simulate real-world physical, chemical, and biological systems. These models shift the traditional design-make-test cycle to simulation-driven research, cutting development timelines from years to weeks.
With up to 4x faster discovery cycles, SandboxAQ enables customers to optimize molecular and material candidates simultaneously, improving speed, accuracy, and confidence in R&D. LQMs also generate high-fidelity scientific datasets that improve predictive modeling, reduce false positives, and support more effective clinical and commercial outcomes.

The partnership has already yielded groundbreaking results. In 2024, SandboxAQ and NVIDIA achieved an 80x speedup in quantum chemistry simulations. Most recently, their joint research enabled orbital optimization for systems with 82 electrons in 82 orbitals—a record-setting feat that opens new frontiers in catalysis and material science.
SandboxAQ’s LQM platform now includes the “Agentic AI Chemist,” which autonomously explores millions of chemical pathways, drastically accelerating discovery in complex domains.
