Salesforce Positions Slack as AI Work Interface as UAE Enterprises Shift to Execution

Salesforce

Salesforce has unveiled a new approach to enterprise AI adoption, positioning Slack as the central “System of Engagement” for its Agentic Enterprise platform, as organizations in the UAE move from AI experimentation to full-scale execution.

The announcement introduces Slackbot as an “employee superagent,” designed to unify Agentforce teams, third-party AI agents, enterprise applications, and data into a single, coordinated digital workspace. This marks a strategic step toward addressing what Salesforce describes as “agentic fragmentation,” where multiple disconnected AI systems limit productivity and business impact.

As AI adoption accelerates under national initiatives such as the UAE 2031 vision and Dubai Economic Agenda D33, enterprises are increasingly focused on operationalizing AI rather than piloting isolated use cases. However, fragmented data environments and disconnected systems remain key barriers to unlocking value at scale.

Salesforce’s latest innovation aims to bridge this gap by integrating AI directly into the flow of work. While Slack acts as the engagement layer bringing together people, data, and applications, Agentforce functions as the execution engine, orchestrating AI-driven actions across enterprise systems.

“The challenge is no longer access to AI, but turning intelligence into coordinated enterprise action.”

New capabilities include meeting transcription, automated follow-ups, contextual desktop integration, reusable AI skills, and connectivity with over 6,000 enterprise applications. These features are designed to streamline workflows, reduce operational friction, and enable consistent execution across teams.

According to Mohammed Alkhotani, enterprises across the UAE are rapidly advancing AI adoption but face challenges in translating intelligence into real business outcomes. He emphasized that organizations must embed AI into everyday workflows with governance and trust to achieve measurable impact.

Globally, Slack already supports 33 million monthly active users and processes over 6 billion messages weekly. Salesforce reports significant productivity gains from its internal use, including up to 20 hours saved per employee per week.

For UAE enterprises across sectors such as financial services, retail, real estate, and government, this shift represents a critical inflection point. The ability to unify AI systems, integrate data, and operationalize intelligence within existing workflows is expected to define competitive advantage in the region’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
