New SYNO Series Enhances Network Flexibility and Scalability
If you’re a network provider looking to enhance your Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) offerings, R&M has some exciting news for you. The globally active Swiss developer and provider of high-end infrastructure solutions for data and communications networks has expanded its SYNO fiber optic splice closures. This new addition is designed to help you compact your infrastructure and expand FTTH offerings in various ways.
The SYNO-S fiber optic splice closures are designed to be resealed, allowing you to quickly retrofit, densify, or change the wiring as needed. This flexibility ensures that your network is prepared for future market developments and applications. Whether you’re dealing with underground or aerial cabling, these new splice closures are built to withstand challenging outdoor conditions and are certified according to the demanding telecom standard Telcordia GR-771®.
Up to 3,456 Splices
The new S-400 and S-500 fiber optic outdoor splice closures, along with their high-density variants, support multiple configurations simultaneously. You can accommodate single fiber splices, ribbon fiber splices, and splitters on up to eight stacked tray modules. The S-500/HD splice closure can hold up to 3,456 ribbon fiber splices. The eight lead-in segments of the SYNO fiber optic splice closures are compatible with all common cable types, including ribbon cables, and are individually sealed with gel blocks. You can configure the splice closures on-site without the need for special tools.
