Seasoned Telecom Leader to Spearhead Worldwide Sales Expansion for Swiss Network Infrastructure Specialist
R&M, the Swiss-based global provider of high-end infrastructure solutions for data and communications networks, has announced the appointment of Laurent Amestoy as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). A veteran with over three decades of experience in the telecommunications sector, Amestoy will lead R&M’s global sales strategy, reinforcing the company’s commitment to customer proximity and market-driven growth.

Amestoy, born in France, joined R&M in 2000 and has held several leadership roles, including Managing Director for the Middle East and later Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific (APAC). Under his stewardship, R&M more than doubled its sales in APAC, making it the company’s third-largest region. His academic background spans thermodynamics, marketing, and finance—bringing a unique blend of technical and business acumen to the role.
The creation of the CSO position marks a strategic move by R&M to professionalize global market development and leverage synergies across regions. The company aims to address emerging technology trends and global economic shifts while intensifying its regional customer proximity strategy. With subsidiaries and branches in over 40 countries, R&M ensures expert presence on-site to deliver tailored solutions.
Since taking over as CEO in April 2025, Baumann has focused on refining R&M’s growth strategy. Amestoy’s interim role since June paved the way for this permanent appointment, signaling R&M’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team for sustained global expansion.
