Riverbed Accelerates the AI Era with High-Speed Data Express Service

Riverbed Data Express Service

New Oracle Cloud-based SaaS platform enables petabyte-scale data movement up to 10x faster, transforming enterprise AI readiness.

As enterprises race to harness Artificial Intelligence, one challenge consistently hinders progress: the movement of vast, fragmented datasets required to train and deploy AI models. Riverbed, a global leader in AIOps and data acceleration, has taken direct aim at this issue with the launch of its Data Express Service, a new SaaS offering built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Designed to transfer petabyte-scale datasets up to 10 times faster than traditional solutions, the service promises to cut data migration timelines from months to days—dramatically improving time-to-value for AI projects. Riverbed’s solution leverages post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and secure VPN tunnels to ensure robust protection of data in transit.

“We’re helping customers overcome one of the biggest barriers to AI adoption—getting the right data to the right location, with industry-leading speed and security,”

Dave Donatelli, CEO, Riverbed

The new service is positioned as a cornerstone of Riverbed’s AI acceleration strategy. “Speed, security, and simplicity are now key driving factors for successful AI outcomes,” said Chalan Aras, SVP and GM of Riverbed’s Acceleration Business. “We’re leveraging over two decades of expertise to shrink data transfer timelines and give customers a competitive advantage.”

The need for such solutions is underscored by Riverbed’s Global AI Research 2025, which found that nine out of ten organizations view the movement and sharing of AI data as central to their AI strategy. Sachin Menon, VP of Cloud Engineering at Oracle, noted that deploying the Data Express Service on OCI will “accelerate time to value, reduce costs, and ensure that data remains protected.”

With general availability planned for Q4 2025, Riverbed’s Data Express Service represents a critical step in bridging the gap between data readiness and AI realization—helping enterprises worldwide unlock faster, more secure, and scalable AI-driven innovation.
