Optro introduces AI governance, cyber risk monitoring, and continuous control capabilities

Optro has unveiled a new suite of AI-powered governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) capabilities aimed at helping enterprises strengthen risk management and adopt AI with confidence.

The announcement follows the company’s recent rebranding from AuditBoard, reflecting its evolution into a unified platform that provides a single view across infosec, compliance, risk, and audit functions.

According to Optro, the new capabilities are designed to address a growing gap between rapid AI adoption and the maturity of governance frameworks. Its latest research indicates that while 85% of organisations have integrated AI into core operations, only 34% report having a strategic and continuously improving AI governance program.

Driving AI-Ready Risk Management

At the core of the launch is Unified AI Governance, which acts as an orchestration layer connecting policies, technology stacks, and human oversight. This enables organisations to enforce governance frameworks, improve compliance visibility, and manage AI risks more effectively across the enterprise.

The platform also introduces Cyber Risk: Vulnerability Risk Monitoring, an AI-driven capability that provides contextual insights into how vulnerabilities impact an organisation’s security posture and business outcomes. This allows enterprises to move beyond technical assessments and understand real-world risk implications.

Enabling Continuous Assurance

Another key feature, Continuous Control Monitoring, leverages AI to automate control tracking and evidence collection. With pre-built templates and intelligent recommendations, organisations can reduce manual workloads while gaining real-time visibility into control performance.

This shift toward automation supports a more proactive approach to risk management, helping teams detect and address issues earlier while improving operational efficiency.

Bridging the AI Governance Gap

Optro’s findings highlight a critical challenge: AI adoption is accelerating faster than governance capabilities. Limited visibility into employee AI usage and fragmented control frameworks continue to expose organisations to emerging risks.

By integrating AI across governance, risk, and compliance workflows, Optro aims to help enterprises transition from reactive reporting to proactive risk defence aligning with the demands of an increasingly complex and fast-moving threat landscape.

With more than half of Fortune 500 companies relying on its platform, Optro is positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven GRC innovation, enabling organisations to transform risk into opportunity in the era of intelligent automation.
