Deeply integrated solution combines Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure with Pure Storage FlashArray to offer enterprises greater choice, performance, and freedom from legacy virtualization constraints
As the global virtualization market undergoes rapid change, Nutanix and Pure Storage have announced the general availability of a deeply integrated infrastructure solution designed to give enterprises greater flexibility, performance, and control over modern workloads. The joint offering combines Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure with Pure Storage FlashArray, delivering a full-stack virtual environment optimised for business-critical and data-intensive applications, including AI.
The partnership addresses growing enterprise concerns around rising licensing costs, vendor lock-in, and the operational complexity of traditional virtualization stacks. By tightly integrating compute, storage, and management, Nutanix and Pure Storage aim to provide a modern alternative that is simpler to deploy, easier to operate, and built to evolve with changing business needs.

“The virtualization market is shifting fast, and IT leaders are rethinking their entire stack,” said Dan Kogan, Vice President of Product Management at Pure Storage. “This partnership delivers a fresh alternative that’s built for change and tuned for performance—whether customers are managing large VM estates, running high-performance databases, or planning AI deployments.”
At the core of the solution is the Pure Storage platform, which delivers a unified, cloud-like storage-as-a-service foundation supporting block, file, and object workloads through centralized management. Built on Evergreen architecture, the platform enables non-disruptive upgrades and zero-downtime operations, helping organizations future-proof infrastructure while reducing cost, space, and energy consumption.
Pure Storage FlashArray brings high-performance capabilities to the stack, delivering sub-millisecond latency, always-on data reduction, and enterprise-scale resilience. Its modular NVMe and DirectFlash architecture allows compute and storage to scale independently, while six-nines availability ensures continuous operations—even during in-place upgrades. Advanced replication and business continuity features further strengthen disaster recovery for Nutanix environments.
On the virtualization side, Nutanix Cloud Platform simplifies hybrid IT operations through a unified, VM-centric interface with Nutanix Prism. Nutanix AHV, the built-in hypervisor, reduces reliance on third-party virtualization while offering enterprise-grade performance, security, and scalability. Nutanix Flow adds policy-driven microsegmentation to enhance security and compliance.
“This is the partnership the industry has been waiting for,” said Anthony Jackman, Chief Innovation Officer at Expedient. “It enables guaranteed outcomes for customers while preserving flexibility and protecting existing investments.”
Together, Nutanix and Pure Storage offer enterprises a modern virtualization foundation—one designed to replace legacy dependency with performance, simplicity, and future-ready infrastructure.
