NETSCOUT Boosts Resilience with New Observability Capabilities for Remote Sites

Wi‑Fi 7

New enhancements to nGeniusONE and nGenius Edge Sensors aim to shift IT teams from reactive fixes to preventative operations as Wi‑Fi 7 adoption accelerates.

NETSCOUT Systems announced significant updates to its nGeniusONE and nGenius Edge Sensor solutions, targeting two critical challenges: remote site visibility and risks from expired SSL/TLS certificates.

With digital ecosystems expanding rapidly across hybrid workplaces, industrial IoT deployments, and cloud-driven architectures, observability gaps at remote sites have become a major source of performance issues. NETSCOUT is addressing this with real-time deep packet inspection (DPI) over both Ethernet and Wi‑Fi 7, now supported in the new nGenius Edge Sensors. As Wi‑Fi 7 adoption is projected to grow at a 61.5% CAGR through 2030 (BCC Research), enterprises require observability tools that evolve alongside network advancements.

“We’re giving IT teams the foresight to resolve issues before they touch the business.”

— Dr. Phil Gray, Associate Vice President, Product Management, NETSCOUT

By integrating Wi‑Fi 7 monitoring—backward compatible with Wi‑Fi 6E, 6, and 5—NETSCOUT enables IT teams to detect early signs of performance degradation, ensuring consistent user experience and reducing revenue and productivity risks. The company was recently recognized by Frost & Sullivan for visionary innovation and customer impact in global network monitoring.

NETSCOUT has also strengthened its SSL/TLS certificate monitoring capabilities. The enhanced module in nGeniusONE now delivers real-time insights into approaching expirations, misissued certificates, and unknown certificates operating on non-standard ports. According to Ponemon Institute research, 51% of organizations lack full visibility into their digital certificate inventory, leading to outages, compliance failures, and security vulnerabilities. NETSCOUT’s automated visibility aims to eliminate these blind spots and prevent costly downtime.

“We’re helping organizations shift from reactive fixes to preventative operations,” said Dr. Phil Gray, Associate Vice President, Product Management at NETSCOUT. “We’re giving IT teams the foresight to resolve issues before they impact the business.”

NETSCOUT’s latest enhancements underscore its mission to strengthen resilience, reduce operational risk, and maintain high-quality digital experiences across complex, distributed environments.
