ManageEngine Empowers Enterprises with New Identity Threat Defenses in AD360

Manikandan Thangaraj, vice president of ManageEngine.

With identity risk exposure management and local user MFA, AD360 evolves into a proactive security control aligned with Zero Trust principles.

ManageEngine, the enterprise IT management division of Zoho Corporation, has announced powerful new capabilities in its identity and access management (IAM) platform, AD360. The latest enhancements—identity risk exposure management and local user multi-factor authentication (MFA)—are designed to help enterprises detect privilege escalation risks and secure unmanaged local accounts, two of the most exploited identity attack vectors.

The identity risk exposure management feature introduces graph-based attack path analysis, enabling security teams to visualize how attackers could laterally move or escalate privileges within Active Directory (AD). By modeling AD objects and privilege relationships, the system highlights risky configurations and provides actionable remediation steps in real time.

Complementing this, the new local user MFA feature extends enterprise-grade MFA to unmanaged local accounts on non-domain joined servers and isolated environments—often overlooked entry points for attackers.

“With this release, ManageEngine AD360 moves beyond traditional IAM by embedding identity threat defenses into core identity operations,” said Manikandan Thangaraj, Vice President at ManageEngine. “We’re helping customers make IAM the first line of defense, not just a compliance checkbox.”

These updates align with Zero Trust architecture (NIST SP 800-207) and compliance standards like PCI DSS 4.0, SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR. AD360 also now includes machine learning-driven access recommendations and expanded access certification capabilities, further strengthening governance and compliance.

Trusted by enterprises across healthcare, finance, education, and government, AD360 continues to evolve as a unified identity platform that simplifies identity management while fortifying security.
