In a significant move aimed at strengthening global digital resilience, Kaspersky has joined the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) as an observer, becoming the first cybersecurity company to be part of the international body. The step underscores Kaspersky’s commitment to contributing its nearly three decades of cybersecurity expertise toward building a safer, more inclusive and sustainable digital economy worldwide.
Founded in 2020, the DCO is the world’s first standalone international organization focused exclusively on the digital economy. With 16 member states and an expanding ecosystem of observers and partners representing leading global organizations, the DCO works to harness digital technologies as a driver of social prosperity and economic growth.
The announcement was made during the 5th DCO General Assembly, held in Kuwait from February 4–5, where government leaders, policymakers and technology stakeholders gathered to shape the future of digital cooperation. By joining the organization, Kaspersky brings its deep experience in combating sophisticated cyberthreats, capacity building and cyber awareness to support the DCO’s mission of advancing secure digital ecosystems.
“International cooperation is the greatest enabler of digital resilience and prosperity. Through our partnership with the Digital Cooperation Organization, we are reinforcing our commitment to a safer, more sustainable digital future for everyone.”
— Yuliya Shlychkova, Vice President of Global Public Affairs, Kaspersky
For nearly 30 years, Kaspersky has protected consumers, enterprises and public-sector organizations across the globe from evolving cyber risks. As an observer, the company will share threat intelligence, best practices and practical expertise to help DCO members strengthen their digital resilience and mitigate risks that could hinder digital development.
The partnership aligns closely with the DCO’s strategic priorities, including digital economic growth, innovation, prosperity, and the enablement of women and youth. These focus areas mirror Kaspersky’s long-standing mission to empower individuals and organizations to safely benefit from digital technologies. Through joint initiatives, the collaboration will promote cybersecurity awareness, develop knowledge‑sharing platforms and support skills development across diverse digital communities.
Capacity building remains central to Kaspersky’s global efforts. The company delivers expert training programs, supports cybersecurity education through Kaspersky Academy, and nurtures young talent via hands-on initiatives such as Kaspersky{CTF}. Its Cyber Capacity Building educational program further equips public- and private‑sector professionals, as well as university students, with practical skills to assess and strengthen IT security.
By joining the DCO, Kaspersky aims to help shape a future where trust, security and cooperation form the foundation of global digital transformation.
