Informatica Partners with Emirates Flight Catering to Build a Smarter, Data-Driven Catering Operation

Partnership aims to strengthen EKFC’s digital foundation with cloud-based Master Data Management, enhancing efficiency, transparency and sustainability across an operation that serves over 225,000 meals daily

Informatica, a global leader in AI-powered cloud data management, has partnered with Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC), one of the world’s largest catering operations, to modernize its digital infrastructure and enhance efficiency, transparency, and sustainability across its vast operations.

Producing over 225,000 meals daily for more than 100 airline customers, EKFC’s operations depend on precise coordination between sourcing, stock management, and logistics. To unify its complex data ecosystem, EKFC has deployed Informatica’s Multidomain Master Data Management (MDM) SaaS platform, designed to break down data silos and create a single, trusted source of truth across products, suppliers, and customers.

“At Emirates Flight Catering, accurate, real-time data is at the heart of every ingredient, recipe, meal and decision,” said Tad Nadolny, Vice President, IT Information Systems at Emirates Flight Catering. “Partnering with Informatica and adopting their cloud MDM SaaS solution empowers us to unify data across our business and supplier network. This transition to an AI-first and cloud-first model elevates data governance, supplier collaboration, and sustainability initiatives.”

A key part of this modernization is a new supplier self-service portal powered by Informatica’s MDM platform, giving more than 300 suppliers access to governed workflows that enhance data accuracy and accelerate procurement. This cloud-first transformation fosters agility, improves stock control, and strengthens EKFC’s ability to adapt quickly to global demands.

Informatica’s AI-infused capabilities will also enable EKFC to leverage predictive analytics to anticipate operational needs, minimize waste, and advance its ESG commitments. Already diverting 300 tons of recyclables monthly and generating clean energy through an 8,000-panel solar rooftop, EKFC’s improved data accuracy is set to further optimize sustainability performance.

“We’re proud to partner with Emirates Flight Catering as they set a global benchmark for data-driven operations,” said Yasser Shawky, VP, Emerging Markets (MEA), Informatica. “This collaboration shows how intelligent data management transforms complex operations into agile, sustainable, and future-ready enterprises.”
