Agentic AI and expanded threat detection aim to boost enterprise cyber resilience
Fortinet has unveiled major enhancements to its FortiAI suite, embedding new AI capabilities throughout its Security Fabric platform. The updates are designed to help enterprises combat advanced threats, simplify operations, and ensure secure adoption of GenAI technologies.
“We’re empowering customers to boost security efficiency with AI that’s intelligent, autonomous, and trustworthy.” – Michael Xie, CTO, Fortinet
“By embedding FortiAI across the Fortinet Security Fabric platform, including new agentic AI capabilities, we’re empowering our customers to reduce the workload on their security and network analysts while improving the efficiency, speed, and accuracy of their operations,” said Michael Xie, Founder, President, and CTO of Fortinet.
Key innovations include FortiAI-Assist for autonomous security and network operations, FortiAI-Protect for detecting and managing AI-related threats, and FortiAI-SecureAI for protecting AI infrastructure and preventing data leakage. The platform now supports policy enforcement over 6,500 AI URLs, offering contextual insights and zero-trust-based controls.
Fortinet emphasized data privacy, stating that FortiAI processes GenAI queries locally and blocks sensitive data from reaching large language models.
