Fortinet Expands FortiCloud with Identity, Storage, and Communication Services to Empower Hybrid Enterprises

New FortiCloud services—FortiIdentity, FortiDrive, and FortiConnect—advance secure access, collaboration, and communication, reinforcing Fortinet’s unified cloud security strategy

Fortinet, a global leader in cybersecurity, has announced a major expansion of its FortiCloud platform, introducing three new services—FortiIdentityFortiDrive, and FortiConnect—designed to simplify and secure enterprise operations in the hybrid work era. These services are deeply integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric, offering security-native alternatives to fragmented point solutions.

The new offerings reflect Fortinet’s commitment to delivering a unified global cloud network that embeds enterprise-grade security into everyday workflows. FortiIdentity provides cloud-delivered identity and access management (IAM), enabling secure single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), and identity federation across Fortinet and third-party applications. It also includes FortiPAM-as-a-Service for privileged access protection, supporting zero-trust network access (ZTNA) principles.

FortiDrive introduces secure file storage and collaboration capabilities, protecting sensitive data at rest and in transit with advanced encryption and granular access controls. Teams can co-edit documents, manage version history, and enforce compliance policies using role-based access control and least-privilege principles.

FortiConnect complements FortiDrive by offering a unified communication platform for secure messaging, calling, meetings, and file sharing. Powered by FortiGuard Labs’ AI-driven threat intelligence, FortiConnect ensures that enterprise communications remain protected from evolving cyber threats.

“FortiIdentity, FortiDrive, and FortiConnect are key milestones in our vision to build a unified global cloud network that brings enterprise-grade security directly into the way teams manage access, store, share, and communicate,” said Michael Xie, Founder, President, and CTO of Fortinet.

These services are backed by Fortinet’s global hybrid-cloud infrastructure, including company-owned data centers in strategic locations and over 160 points of presence (POPs) via partners like Google Cloud, AWS, and Digital Realty. This ensures low-latency, high-performance delivery while supporting regional data sovereignty requirements.

With this expansion, Fortinet continues to simplify security operations, reduce vendor sprawl, and empower hybrid workforces. The FortiCloud platform now offers a comprehensive suite of services—from identity and storage to secure communications—delivered through a centralized portal with unified policy enforcement and real-time threat protection.

Fortinet’s latest innovations reaffirm its leadership in cloud security, helping enterprises consolidate tools, optimize costs, and protect users, data, and infrastructure across distributed environments.
