ESET PROTECT Elite cloud scores full marks in all categories, reinforcing its position as a leader in endpoint and EDR resilience.
ESET has once again secured the prestigious Anti-Tampering Certification from AV-Comparatives, validating the robustness of its ESET PROTECT Elite cloud solution against manipulation and termination attacks.
The certification confirms that ESET’s platform effectively prevents any form of tampering—temporary or permanent, partial or complete—across both endpoint protection and EDR functionalities. ESET PROTECT Elite received full marks in all eight test categories, including defense against registry key, DLL, file system, and kernel driver manipulation.
“Anti-tampering is not just a feature—it’s a necessity,” said Zuzana Legáthová of ESET. “We’ve pioneered technologies to protect our software from manipulation for over a decade, and this recognition reaffirms our commitment to secure-by-design solutions.”
“If a security tool can be tampered with, it’s not a security tool — it’s a vulnerability. That’s why anti-tampering has been a cornerstone of ESET’s protection strategy for over a decade.”

The certification comes at a time when attackers increasingly use stealth tactics—like disabling security tools—to remain undetected. ESET’s password-protected settings and advanced mitigation techniques ensure that its protection agents remain resilient, even against sophisticated threats like EDR killers.
This is ESET’s second major anti-tampering accolade, following similar recognition in 2023. The company’s consistent performance highlights its dedication to delivering enterprise-grade security that evolves with the threat landscape.
As businesses face growing pressure to secure digital assets, ESET’s certified anti-tampering capabilities offer a critical layer of defense—ensuring that security tools remain active, effective, and uncompromised.
