Acronis Report Warns of AI-Driven Cyber Threats
Cyberattacks are escalating, with nearly 50% of business users targeted by email-based attacks in the second half of 2024, according to the latest Acronis Cyberthreats Report. The report highlights a 197% increase in email threats compared to 2023, with phishing and ransomware attacks becoming more sophisticated due to AI-driven tactics.

Key Findings from the Report
✅ Email Threats on the Rise – 31.4% of all emails were spam, and 1.4% contained malware or phishing links.
✅ MSPs Under Attack – 33% faced phishing campaigns, with RDP vulnerabilities also exploited.
✅ UAE a Major Target – In December 2024, the UAE had the highest percentage of blocked malicious URLs (16.2%).
✅ Ransomware Tactics Evolving – Hackers use stolen credentials, social engineering, and supply chain attacks to breach networks.
