New DMS-1250 Series switches empower SMBs with high-speed connectivity and intelligent power management
D-Link A/NZ has launched three new additions to its DMS-1250 Series Multi-Gigabit Smart Managed PoE+ Switches, designed to address the increasing network bandwidth and power demands of modern businesses.
The new models — DMS-1250-28P, DMS-1250-28, and DMS-1250-18P — extend D-Link’s multi-gigabit switching portfolio, offering 2.5G connectivity across all downlink ports and 10G SFP+ uplinks for robust, high-speed network performance. These switches are ideal for SMBs and enterprises deploying next-generation Wi-Fi 6/6E access points, IP surveillance systems, and cloud-driven applications.
“The DMS-1250 Series delivers the performance and PoE power modern networks need, combining multi-gigabit speeds, intelligent management, and robust surge protection,” said a D-Link A/NZ spokesperson. “They’re designed to simplify connectivity while ensuring long-term network resilience.”
The DMS-1250-28P and DMS-1250-18P models feature PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) support with power budgets of 475W and 370W respectively, enabling businesses to power multiple high-demand devices — from access points to IP cameras — through a single switch. Advanced PoE features such as Perpetual PoE and Fast PoE ensure uninterrupted power delivery even during maintenance or reboots.
All models include 6kV surge protection, Layer 2+ features (including Static Routing, LACP, and Spanning Tree Protocols), and can be managed via D-Link’s Nuclias Network Controller or D-View 8, offering IT teams centralized visibility and simplified configuration.
Built-in intelligent cooling fans with manual and automatic modes ensure optimal operation under varying workloads, while AAA authentication and D-Link’s Safeguard Engine enhance security.
The DMS-1250 Series switches are available through D-Link partners and resellers in Australia and New Zealand. Pricing starts from AUD$1,499.95 for the DMS-1250-28, AUD$1,899.95 for the DMS-1250-18P, and AUD$2,699.95 for the DMS-1250-28P.
