New AI Security Posture Management capabilities give enterprises visibility, control, and protection for safe generative AI adoption
“Cloudflare is the best place to help any business roll out AI securely,” said Matthew Prince, CEO and co-founder at Cloudflare. “The world’s most innovative companies want to pull the AI lever to move, build and scale fast, without sacrificing security. We are in a unique position to power that innovation and bring AI to businesses safely.”
Cloudflare has launched a suite of new Zero Trust capabilities designed to help organizations securely adopt and scale generative AI. The enhancements, integrated into its Cloudflare One platform, aim to provide security teams with centralized visibility and control over AI usage, addressing risks associated with “Shadow AI” and sensitive data exposure.
The company’s new AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) introduces tools to discover, monitor, and manage AI interactions across the enterprise. With the Shadow AI Report, IT leaders gain real-time insights into which AI apps employees are accessing and how they are being used. Cloudflare Gateway enables enforcement of AI usage policies at the network edge, blocking unapproved tools or restricting sensitive data uploads.
Another critical feature, AI Prompt Protection, identifies risky prompts and responses, warning or blocking employees from sharing confidential material such as source code with untrusted AI providers. Meanwhile, Zero Trust MCP Server Control consolidates AI model requests into a single dashboard, offering unified oversight of model-to-server interactions.
As enterprises across industries rush to embed AI into workflows, security remains a top concern. Cloudflare’s move places it at the intersection of AI adoption and enterprise security, ensuring businesses can innovate with AI—without leaving data and compliance at risk.
