New certifications reinforce Cloudflare’s commitment to privacy – demonstrating adherence to data protection standards in 39 jurisdictions around the world
Cloudflare has become one of the first organizations globally to be certified under the newly launched Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (Global CBPR) and Global Privacy Recognition for Processors (Global PRP) systems. These certifications, backed by a coalition of nine governments, validate Cloudflare’s robust data protection practices and its commitment to safeguarding personal information across international borders.
“Global standards like the CBPR and PRP are important because they can establish clear, consistent guidelines around data privacy.”
— Matthew Prince, Co-founder and CEO, Cloudflare
The certifications are designed to harmonize global data privacy standards, enabling companies to demonstrate compliance with internationally recognized principles such as data minimization, accountability, and security safeguards. Cloudflare’s achievement underscores its leadership in privacy-first innovation and its dedication to building a safer, more trustworthy Internet.
Cloudflare is also certified under ISO 27701, ISO 27018, and the EU Cloud Code of Conduct, further reinforcing its global privacy credentials.
