New integration leverages Intel® Core™ Ultra processors to accelerate AI-driven threat detection and extend system efficiency for MSPs and enterprises
Acronis has partnered with Intel to integrate Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with Intel® Core™ Ultra-powered AI PCs, introducing a new standard in endpoint protection that combines advanced threat detection with optimized system performance.
The collaboration enables managed service providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), and enterprises to combat sophisticated cyberattacks such as ransomware, zero-day exploits, and fileless malware with real-time detection and remediation—without the usual performance penalties.
AI Security Powered by Intel NPUs
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud uses AI to analyze behavioral patterns and stop advanced threats at the endpoint. On Intel Core Ultra devices, the solution leverages OpenVINO™ technology to offload intensive AI-driven tasks—like behavioral heuristics and anomaly scoring—from the CPU to the processor’s neural processing unit (NPU).
“Cyber protection must be natively integrated and AI-powered to address modern cyber threats.” — Gaidar Magdanurov, President, Acronis
Internal performance tests reveal up to 92% reduction in CPU load during security operations, ensuring smoother performance, longer battery life, and uninterrupted productivity for end users.
Carla Rodríguez, Vice President and General Manager, Client Software Enabling at Intel, said: “Together Intel and Acronis are delivering fast, AI-powered security right on the device. By running complex security tasks on an AI PC with Intel Core Ultra processors, we enable partners like Acronis to deliver breakthrough protection with lower latency and improved performance and privacy.”
Integrated Cyber Protection
Unlike fragmented security stacks that slow systems and increase complexity, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud provides a fully integrated, SaaS-based platform that consolidates cybersecurity, endpoint and posture management, data protection, automated backup, and disaster recovery.
Its alignment with NIST cybersecurity functions—identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover—helps enterprises and service providers strengthen resilience while reducing tool fatigue for IT teams.
For overburdened IT departments, this combination of AI-driven defense and Intel-optimized performance ensures not only better protection but also operational efficiency across distributed environments.
Raising the Bar for Endpoint Security
Traditional antimalware tools often miss advanced threats and consume excessive resources. With Intel’s NPU-enabled acceleration, Acronis can deliver faster, more precise, and energy-efficient cyber protection—making AI-powered endpoint security practical at scale.
The partnership sets a new benchmark for endpoint defense in a resource-constrained world, enabling businesses to protect users while keeping systems running seamlessly.
