Vertiv’s PowerDirect Rack Revolutionizes Data Center Power Efficiency for AI and HPC
Vertiv has launched the Vertiv PowerDirect Rack, a groundbreaking 50V DC power system designed to meet the demanding needs of AI and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This innovative modular power shelf scales up to 132kW per rack, doubling power capacity within the same footprint compared to traditional alternatives.
Built for Open Compute Project (OCP) High Power Rack environments, the Vertiv PowerDirect Rack offers enhanced flexibility with support for both AC and HVDC input, real-time monitoring, and hot-swappable modular design. Achieving a peak energy efficiency of 97.5%, it reduces power waste, cooling demands, and operational costs while simplifying scalability for growing power needs.
